NATECLA Day Conference - Friday 26th January 2007-Tower Hamlets College, Poplar Centre, London ESOL for Work Speakers: Judith Swift MBE, Union Development Manager at the TUC who will discuss the current relevance and impact for individuals and employers of providing learning opportunities for ESOL learners at work. Judith takes the lead role for supporting unions in developing their learning and skills capacity. Celia Roberts, Senior Research Fellow at King's College London in the Department of Education and Professional Studies will give us the results of research 'Language, ethnicity and discrimination in the British job interview' Sharon Simpson from Asset Skills will give us information on the role of the Sector Skills Councils, talk about the work of Asset Skills, how they are linking into the current initiatives such as Train to Gain etc. Highlight what are the issues for ESOL learners.
