The Learning Age - Are we nearly there yet? 1997 - the year of Dolly the sheep, road rage, teletubbies and men behaving badly - oh how much we've learnt since then! 2007 - the Campaign for Learning celebrates 10 years of campaigning for learners across the country. To mark this we are holding two prestigious events. To mark our 10th Anniversary we are holding a Gala Dinner on the evening of 20th November. As well as fine dining and entertainment, the dinner will incorporate a fundraising auction hosted by Kriss Akabusi MBE, Olympic Medallist and Campaign patron. The 10th Anniversary Conference is an opportunity to learn from cutting edge thinkers and opinion formers. The conference will consider the crucial links we have to make between workplace learning and skills, family learning, learning in schools and communities to achieve the learning age. Attendees can join the debates, celebrate learning and be inspired to carry on learning for life. Confirmed speakers for the conference include: - John Grant, former co-founder St Luke's, author of The Green Marketing Manifesto; - Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive, Royal Society of Arts; - Professor Steve Higgins, Durham University. Further speakers to be announced.
