NATECLA's Community Languages Special Interest Group and Leeds Metropolitan University are inviting abstract submissions for the following conference which is also in association with the British Association of Applied Linguistics (BAAL) and Cambridge University Press

Applied Linguistics Seminar 2014: 

Learning and Teaching for Right to Left Scripted Languages: realities and possibilities

The final call for papers is by Sunday 1 June 2014.

Keynote Speakers:

This seminar aims to start a conversation among researchers, policy writers, practitioners and language users about using, researching and teaching right to left scripted languages. An important aim is to have a voice from learners at the event. 
 
The seminar will have three broad themes:
  • domains of use for right to left scripted languages with particular attention to UK contexts
  • materials for learning and teaching right to left scripted languages
  • research related to the learning and teaching of right to left scripted languages
