Ruth Hayman's Star Challenge - deadline extended

There is still time to join the Challenge to raise funds for the Ruth Hayman Trust, an amazing charity which provides educational grants for migrants, and win up to £200 for your group.  The deadline has now been extended to June 15th.

Raise money for an excellent cause, have fun in the classroom and cite your fundraising as evidence of enrichment as Derby and City & Islington College have already done. Derby's fundraiser coincided with their OFSted Inspection and made it into the report:

"Learners develop personal, social and employability skills by engaging in enrichment activities such as bring and buy sales and events to raise funds for a local educational charity"

Who are the Ruth Hayman Trust?

NATECLA's partnership charity, The Ruth Hayman Trust awards small grants to support the education and training of adults who have come to settle in the UK, speak English as a second or other language and have difficulty paying for their studies.

What is the Ruth Hayman Trust Star Challenge?

A challenge to students and teachers across the UK to run fundraising events to raise money for the Ruth Hayman Trust. The Challenge is open to groups, which might be made up of individual classes, groups of classes or whole small organisations. The group who raises the most money between 1 January and 30 May 2016 wins £200, the runner up £100 (prize money kindly donated by the English Speaking Board).
